America: Impressions of these United States is currently in the process of publication. There are currently no open calls for compiled titles, but author submissions are always welcome - see the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
Jo Allen Publishing, LLC promotes the arts via family friendly fiction and nonfiction titles with an arts element. Jo Allen Publishing is primarily print based and produces a limited number of titles.
"An arts element" explained –
The theme or main focus is not necessarily the arts. For example, a title could be about an art museum, a character in a title could attend a play, or a biographical title could mention a hobby interest in photography.
Consideration for publication
Small-audience titles are welcomed. All titles and correspondence are English language at this time.
To be considered, first complete your manuscript. You may then submit a one page query. Include audience/age information if practical, as well as a word count of your completed manuscript. With your query, enclose one full page of text (any page) from your manuscript, a simple synopsis, and a self-addressed stamped postcard if you wish to be notified when your query has been received. Do not submit a biography of the author, a resume or similar item, or a list of prior published works.

Queries must be sent by mail. Neither queries nor manuscripts submitted by agents or by others on behalf of the author are accepted. Simultaneous submissions are not accepted. Queries are kept on file and are not returned. Please follow the instructions carefully. Compensation: Advance/Royalty.
